The Durmanhoth / Durmanhoth Clan has been in existance since 1993 where "The Durmanhoth" were formed as a guild of assassins under Mutalator. The Durmanhoth (aka:"Durms") were well known across the MUD of The Two Towers as ruthless murders (PKers) after which a Sheriff guild system was implemented in the hopes of quelling the rampage the Durms had started. Even after being struck down and cast out to the pits for Mutalator's PKing crimes by Morgoth (Valar), The Durms carried on and eventually fell under the leadership of Foxxx until the guild itself was destroyed in 2010 for causing to much death and not enough "game play".

After leaving the realm of The Two Towers, Mutalator's evil soul reformed in the lands of Britania (Ultima Online) where The Durmanhoth Clan formed at the birth of the Atlantic shard in 1997. The Durmanhoth swept across the server killing, stealing and looting guilds from all over. With the assistance of Jaster Meerel (now Niras), The Durmanhoth Clan destroyed the hopes of the good people of Britania until the gods again cast out all "murderers" not allowing them access to any city, but the evil haven of Buckeneer's Den. With the gods involvement in protecting the citizens of Britania, Mutalator and Niras cast themself into the black void (in 2002) awaiting to be reborn once again.

Not long after, Mutalator was reborn in the future in the middle of what appeared to be a war in the stars (2002 beta Star Wars Galaxies). Mutalator began to reform and in an instant saw the future of the evil empire growing in this new galaxy and decided to come back as Hardware, a bountyhunter, to weigh the tides of battle and see whhere the most destruction could be caused. It took sometime for Hardware to pull Jaster from the black void because magic was not as widely shared anymore. After deciding on the proper balance of the evil in the galaxy, Hardware sought out the Emperor himself and brought back Jaster who then took on the name of Niras! They started their base of operations deep in the middle of Naboo (Flurry server) and began creating The Durmanhoth Clan. Soon after the collapse of some smaller tribes on the planet, teir base of operations grew into a Metropolis called Corriban. Once commerce was established from Corriban through out the empire, The Durmanhoth Clan reformed from a band of murdering muraders for hire to its own division of the Imperial military. After The Durmanhoth Clan proved themselves time and time again by protecting other Imperial settlements and bases, the Corriban Fortress was form from three bases to six bases which all held till the end of the war (base patch in 2005). Hardware was contacted by the leader of "Death Dealers (Laheira)", and their city on Tattoine was used as an Imperial invasion point to attack the largest rebel city of MeS (Mos Eisley Syndicate). During their mutual partenership, Hardware took Laheira as his Dark Queen and together led an impressive Imperial army that rivaled the Emperor's own. Soon the great schizim occured (base patch, combat upgrade, 10th jedi revamp) and Hardware sought out the Emperor once again to step back into the void to cause havoc elsewhere.
